So this is what a Gaga Pit looks like! This was Dalton's Eagle Scout Project. He did a great job, too. But I can't even begin to tell you of all the help he had, it was a big project. To start with Kelly Fly and Ray Mallott are amazing, and have so much love for these boys. They teach them so much along the way. Dalton cut all the boards, which was a learning thing for him and drilled the holes. Doug helped Dalton so much that day, but really let him learn a lot.
Ray did a great job marking all of them.
All the boards are in, now the finishing touches! Zach and Quin Anderson came to help Dalton put all the boards in, plus they smoothed all the sand around the pit. Kyle McQuivey came and helped, he got away before I got his picture. Thanks so much to everyone!!!!
Time for a Pizza break!!!!!
The rules of the Gaga pit.
Downey Elementary got some money, thanks to Selena Guthrie, and they bought the brackets and pads and some balls for the pit. Dalton raised the rest of the money for all of the wood. A big thanks to Lyle Carter, Lavern Talbot, Terry Jones-Valley Oil, Joel McQuivey-All American Roofing, Steve Sutton-Marsh Valley Dental, Rex and Marcia Nielson, Rick David. We hope the kids have tons of fun playing in this.
