Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Your never too old...

...or are you?  I have always loved playing in the snow with the kids, and this year we have had more than enough to play in. The older I get though, the more I would rather stay warm. We had a little fun in the snow this day, playing with
Cora, our dog. Dalton has been the best snow shoveling helper this year, along with some really good neighbors.

This is what you look like after you lose a snowball fight! Except I think her face was covered with snow.
Three weeks after those pictures, the snow is almost melted in the yard.  We really had a heat way and it melted fast causing a lot of flooding for many people. We never know anymore what kind of weather we will have. Today it was hail, and it covered the deck. My prayers go out to all people that have had many problems due too the changes in the weather.
With all the snow days that the kids had from the weather, we played a lot of games together.
The kids we great helpers for me helping Doug get back on his feet after surgery. It is amazing how precious our bodies are and the things that they can do and bounce back from injuries.
Doug went back to work at around 4 weeks after his surgery, I was a little nervous with all the ice, getting in and out of car, standing on your feet all day. He has done well. We went to Salt Lake to do a dealer trade on a vehicle that Doug sold, and had a little bit of fun.
It is always fun to walk around in Cabella's  and see the wildlife mounts. Dalton was skiing with the scouts, working on getting a merit badge done.
We were shopping a little and we seen a Build a Bear! Oh No!!! Michaela wanted to go in, I'm like your too old, or are you? They had a great deal, two for twenty so she made Dalton one too. It made me think back when my kids weren't as tall as me. I sure love them, and want to keep them near me always! There has been so much, tragedy lately in communities, the world you just want to keep all of your family with you and keep them safe.

NThis is Doug's x-ray at his 6 week check up, it is just crazy the things that they can do. The ring around the bone is a cable that they used to reinforce his bone because of the holes from the screws that they took out.

It has been a lot of busy stuff the last 6 weeks, we have had fun things and not so fun things. We lost Doug's Aunt Goldie a week ago, she was a wonderful lady and will be missed. She was one of those aunt's that like too kiss everyone, but so funny, loveable, and a great lady.

We are very ready to see more sunshine and feel it's warmth! Hug your kids, families, friends and let them know you love them, life is way too short!

Sorry about Doug's Aunt. Glad he is slowly beginning to heal. You guys are such a wonderful family - you deserve all the best!:)
