Glory to God in the highest, and on the earth peace, good will toward men.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. I loved the live nativity that was done out in Virginia. It is what Christmas is all about and spirit of seeing that was wonderful. It really is the simple things in life that matter the most.We went and seen the lights in Ogden with the youth, and they are also very pretty.
Michaela had to go to a play for one of her classes, so we made it a family event and went to the Scrooge in Preston. They did a great job, a very fun play and it was sold out every night.
I didn't get pictures, but we had a girls night out. We went and busted my sister out of the hospital and took her to dinner and then drove around seeing some more Christmas. If you like doing that there are some amazing homes with lots of lights up in Preston. This place is in Richmond, and wow! That Grinch was bigger than the house. A super lady in Preston, has let us borrow her wheelchair van when we need it, and so we thought it would be fun to take Vickie out for a bit. It was great being together. With all the stuff we have had going on in our family, you never want to ask, "What next!" cause you will find out. But you take things a day at a time.
A few days before this we got a call at 11p.m., my brother in law works for the power company, and he let us know that my sister's son Jessy's house was on fire. It was the night of that bad snow storm. It was a total loss, but no one was hurt. He had a lot of neighbors that tried to help they got some things that meant the most to him. Blankets my sister made him, deer mounts, derby trophies, some pictures of his dad, frames melted. but it's like he said, it's the little things that you don't want to loose. You can always replace a couch.
We have had so many things going on, Michaela and I were talking and we decided that we really need to focus on the little things, and see the miracles around us that happen every day in our life. I sure love all my family and cherish every day I get with them. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and to remember the little things are the big things.
