This was the BIG one for Doug this year. He turned 50 years young! Well, yes I kind of teased him maybe just a little. I probably should have been nicer, cause I think this birthday bothered him just a little bit. It is just a number, right?! We made this sucker arrangement for him, and the
kids picked out the cake. Doug kept telling me over the last little while that he didn't want not party, no surprizes, etc. REALLY! When you turn 50, I think that is a big milestone in your life. So we just had our families all go to dinner at Copper Mill in Logan.
Doug with his oldest brother Gordan and his wife Debbie.
Dad and Mom TalbotBrother Travis and his daughter Katie
My Aunt Faye, my Dad's sister and my Dad.
Bruce and Shauna
Courtney, and my Uncle Roy.
I so love all these people, and apprieciate all the support that they always give to us.
We also made a candy letter for him, to make him sweeter!
This is your day! Take 5 because you need no Reisen
To celebrate and turning 50 is nothing to Snicker about.
In fact, this is when you have Butterfingers
And your mind starts playing Twix on you.
You're Whatchamacallit isn't working properly,
You'll do things Now & Later
And forget them both.
You'll even begin to swear on Paydays that
You made 100 Grand when in fact
It was only Skittles.
So when looking back on the days of your life,
Remembering all the Smarties and Nerds
And those Airhead on 5th Avenue.
Think of the fun shared with your friends
And all the laughs you shared with your
3 Muskateers and Mrs. Goodbar.
Because whether at the snow caps or a symphony
You've been a Lifesaver to so many.
Hope your birthday leaves you with
Good N Plenty.
It was a fun day, and we love Doug tons. Hope he has many, many more. Happy Birthday!!!!!
