The Cowboy Rides Away Tour!

Way back in September, I found out that George Strait was coming to Salt Lake. So excited! We wanted to get tickets cause this is his last tour he is doing. So we got us an early Christmas present. I seen him about 20 plus years ago and have always liked George Strait, always thought he was a class act. Plus he was coming with Martina McBride, yes love her too! Needless to say we were not thinking at the time that Doug would be getting 2 new knees. As the concert was getting closer over the last month, Doug wanted me to go without him. Just couldn't do it! So I said alot of prayers, hopeing that all would go well. We got there early to find out seat, before too many people were there, and you know the higher you are at Energy Solutions, the steeper the stairs. Well, Doug can do some stairs, but not all of the ones to our seats, let alone sitting in those chairs with no leg room. So, prayer one answered, and usher came up to us and said that they have some house seats that might work better for Doug. He wasn't sitting by us, but just up a couple of rows in a nice comfortable chair with lots of leg room plus they took him in a elevator on the back so no stairs. Worked out perfect, we could still see him  and we all enjoyed the concert!

The kids really enjoyed it, and talked about all the other concerts they would like to go to.  Michaela loved it, and Dalton liked it. He mainly liked seeing all the JAZZ things, and wanted to go to a JAZZ game again. Plus, "What did they do with the basketball floor, its gone".

Both performers sang so many great songs, and have had amazing careers! George Stait alone played for 2 hours. Love his songs old and new.  We got out of the concert and were heading out of Salt Lake when you know those lovely deer, well one ran out in front of us. Prayer two answered we missed it. We got to Tremonton, and had rain and icy roads, not good. Prayer three answered, we made it home safe. So many times in my life, these small things always happen and I know that I am being watched out for and protected. So thankful for prayers and being able to enjoy this outing with my family.
