Beloved!

Lavern Caldwell Talbot, 83 passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Vern was born in Winder, Id. on December 14, 1936 to Clarence Earl Talbot and Mary Elizabeth Taylor. He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Skeen on June 20, 1958 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Together they raised 9 children, a total of eight sons and 1 beloved daughter. He always said, "they come cheaper by the dozen." Vern taught his children how to work hard on the family dairy farm. They cherish the memories of working side by side, learning all he had to teach. Generations were taught by his great wisdom. The farm was very important to him and will live on with the third generation, as the LaVern Talbot and sons dairy. Dad was always up early and made his rounds fulfilling the alarm clock responsibilities. He would say you need to get that good morning air.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a very strong testimony of Jesus Christ and missionary work. He supported countless missionaries during his life and was always encouraging the Lords work to everyone he met. Of all the callings he had his favorite was boys softball coach! He had a testimony of prayer and priesthood blessings. He would counsel his children and grand children to pray with there spouses daily and pay their tithing.

Dad and Mom celebrated 62 years of marriage. Dad was a great provider, Mom never had to worry and had what she needed. He would say, "Do you want it or do you need it" and Mom would reply, "I want it and I need it." Dad loved watching his grandchildren in there sporting events, and would always check in with everyone regularly. He was a walking phone book and knew every ones number. If  he had to leave a message he would always say, "put your ears on!" This will be dearly missed.

We love you Dad and your influence will always be in our hearts. The revelation you were given many years ago, that your posterity would regard you as, "BELOVED"  has been fulfilled.

My dear Father in law will be so missed, I will miss his kindness, his smile, and when he told a story he would start laughing so hard he could hardly finish. We didn't care it was great to see him laugh. He always treated me as his daughter. My dear Mother in law is such a great lady, you have to be to raise so many boys and a daughter. Plus, have 35 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. But it so touched my heart, she leaned over and whispered to her beloved husband, " Now don't forget to come and get me." She will miss him so much.  You will always be in my heart.
