In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Shoot Out Cancer!

This last weekend was a special one! A benefit was held for my sister, who is battling breast cancer. There are so many wonderful people in this world who love to help people out, and alot you don't even know. My sister and her husband have done a few benefits for people in Preston to try and help them out, and a friend of my sisters wanted to do this for her. She was a little reluctant, one cause she has always been the person doing for others and not the one on the receiving end. I was so glad that this was done for her. In this world that we live in, even when you have good medical insurance the costs are out of this world.

Alot of people came to the trap shoot, and raffle. It was fun visiting with alot of people that we use to work with, that we had not seen in a long time. So many prayers and blessings have been answered. She had surgery a few days ago and they did a lumpectomy. The surgeon was very very pleased with how it came out. So she has 6 more months of  and IV cancer treatment to remove a few more spots on her sternum. So lots of prayers her way that it will get rid of the rest.
There were alot of people that showed up to the skeet shoot from around the valley, I took my gun but Im not good so Casey used my gun, and shot with my Dad.  He actually took my Dad out of the round that they were both in. Sorry Grandpa!!!
The nice thing that happened is there was a friend of my sisters who donated a saddle for the winner of the shoot. Well...that guy donated it back to have a auction with that raised a $1000. He was a total stranger that just came down for the shooting. It is so wonderful to see so many great people in this world!!!! I wish that we could really SHOOT OUT CANCER!!!
